I’m glad I was explicit. I just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page.
The $400 a month only covers costs. For instance, I need to create around 80 web pages with content of 300-500 words. Each page costs between $10-20. I need to build up a geo-relevant Web 2.0 network. I know that means nothing to you, but it costs me $200. So the $400 doesn’t cover a moment of my time, and in fact will probably not cover all of my expected costs. I expect that I would be spending at the outset around 10 hours a week, and then tapering down to 5 hours a week after 2-3 months.
Because I’ve done work for you before, and I trust you, but I recognize this is something new for you. I’m willing to stick my neck out because I know that I can do it. The best part of it all is it’s a set it and forget it task. It’s not like SEO where you have to constantly be doing things. Creating content, getting links, etc. With Maps you can walk away after six months and keep your rankings for years.
I’m open to setting a reasonable expectation for maps. You tell me what seems fair, it doesn’t have to be for a single keyword. My plan is to have you ranking for a couple dozen keywords, including all those qualifier keywords like “Best DUI lawyer jacksonville”, “Highly Rated dui attorney Jacksonville”, etc. So maybe if we can show you on the maps for a dozen or so phrases throughout Jacksonville, would that work?
Basically what I’m saying is, let me do the work. Pay me when you see the results. Don’t ask me to spend my own money to make it happen, but I’ll spend the time and the effort. You’ll still be paying $1,500/mo, but think of it as an escrow account that you control. Once I produce the goods then you pay me.
If that’s out of budget, then I understand. Just let me know what you want to do.
